Study On Application Of Six Sigma Methodology In Lithium Battery Manufacturing

6 Sigma has been implemented in many big international companies. At the same time, 6 Sigma has brought a lot of benefits to the companies which has been implemented it. At present more and more Chinese enterprises has accepted 6 Sigma quality management system and they are ready to implement it. 6 Sigma is regarded as one kind of advanced concept and methodology on quality management system. It can efficiently improve the product quality and manufacturing. China is described as a world manufacturing base. Implementing 6 Sigma in Lithium battery manufacturing industry is believed to assist improving the product quality and production of the whole manufacturing industries in China.At first this paper introduces the lithium battery product, the process and the general knowledge of 6 Sigma. The study content, background and purpose are summarized. The purpose of this paper is proposed based on the lithium battery manufacturing and 6 Sigma. The main objects and contents are introduced also.Then this paper discusses the feasibility and necessaries for the lithium battery manufacturing industry to implementing 6 Sigma. The concern is given to the organization structure and procedure. Project selection, evaluation, achievements keeping and share are introduced, which are the main contents of 6 Sigma.After that, a typical 6 Sigma case study on lithium battery production is selected in this paper and discussed thoroughly. The main tasks, general project plan and the use of main tools are introduced. And the mode of operation in the case of Six Sigma project is described.Finally, further elaboration is introduced for 6 Sigma implementation in other industries and the main problems when implement it. Some valuable suggestions and recommendations are provided for companies in the manufacturing. I hope that more and more Chinese enterprises will be able to change into the advanced tools,Chinese enterprises enhance the management capability and quality standards to enhance the competitiveness of its products.enhance China's competitive edge in the international market.
