The Research On The Rights Protection Of Rural Workers In Construction Industry

Protection of the rights and interests of rural worker have attracted attention of government and various circles in Chinese society. In recent years, all levels of government were concerned to protect the rights and interests of rural workers . Many positive steps have been taken and a great success has been made. However, the legitimate rights and interests of rural workers have not been effective protected. Violations to the rights and interests of migrant workers are still not uncommon incident. The advanced protections to the rights and interests of rural workers are demand to increase the income of farmers ,coordinate urban and rural economic development , implement the people-oriented governance principles, and build a harmonious society. According to analysis of cases in building trades in Changsha, it is believed that there are some problems about protection of migrant workers' rights and interests. The legal policies are hollow, some policies are not suit for practice work, too many remedies have to carry out, and finance and government supervision turn out to be a mere formality. The causes are varied. In order to protect migrant worker's right, government should enhance fiscal input, conduct effective supervision, and then improve rules and regulations. Nonprofit organization should provide training for profession to migrant worker, help to protect their rights and interests, and constantly raise their legal right safeguarding awareness and ability.
