As a international freight forwarding company, with the Chinese economy and foreign trade continual and fast increasing, its main business including air shipments and ocean shipments transportation have got a fast increasing also. But the current development status of DACHSER company is not satisfying.This paper analyzes comprehensively the competitive environment and competitive resource of DACHSER company by using the way of SWOT analysis and other tools. Finally it get a conclusion that DACHSER company has great potential of growing in international freight forwarding market despite of the fierce competition. Because of the wrong market localization and the ignore of core competitive power,DACHSER company didn't get the ideal development. According to the analysis, we can find that DACHSER company face a good chance to develop. Meanwhile, it also face great challenge.The paper point out, that as a traditional international forwarding company, at present DACHSER shouldn't focus on logistics field in view of its resources and scope. In order to become a more larger and good company, DACHSER should pay more attention on its own projects which have more advantages. Specialization is necessary to build up the core competence of DACHSER. In the outer environment, besides international air freight market has development potential, customer have the demand also. On the basis of specialization, DACHSER should enhance the market exploring. Meanwhile, better the company management and facilities, reduce cost and increase profit, all this would be helpful to increase the core competence of DACHSER so that build up a good basis for future development.On international freight forwarding market, with the price becoming more transparent, service quality is getting more important than anything else during the company competence. The forwarder is expected to supply not only the simple transportation business, but also the whole supply chain service. Forwarder must could monitor each step of all the transportation fm beginning to the end. As a organization for whole supply chain, forwarder are expected by customer to be responsible for any demand or delay and could supply different service such as whole scope service, competent price and worldwide net service, etc. With forwarder's responsibilities changing, DACHSER could find more chance for company developing. With the competence more furious and customer's demanding increasing, one hand, DACHSER should find a solution to consummate its fabric and service, enlarge its business scope. On the other hand, DACHSER should proceed difference service and try to explore objective market by service innovation. Besides improve service quality, on the basis of own core competence, DACHSER should proceed special service to improve own compete advantages. DACHSER must focus on specialization market and build up new competence advantages through service innovation and exploring of new business field.
