Improving international competitiveness of Chinese port enterprises is essential to ensure the healthy and rapid development of Chinese port industry in a new environment. Chinese container port companies must integrate themselves into the international market, and by taking world's leading operators as examples, strive to promote their own competitiveness. Only in this way can they face up to the challenges of economic globalization and WTO accession, and survive and grow in a world market. In this thesis, Ningbo beilun second container terminal Co., Ltd. (NBSCT) is analyzed systematic using qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis methods. The conclusions achieved might serve as references for NBSCT.From the points of economic globalization, national economic and regional economic development, port trade development tendency, NBSCT's geographical position and hinterland economic situation, the outside strategic environment of NBSCT is analyzed systematically. And the inside strategic ability of NBSCT is also analyzed in detail from a lot of respects, such as physical resources, human resources, etc.. it analyzes the influence of the macro environment;The strengths and weaknesses that NBSCT has and the opportunities and threats that NBSCT faced are analyzed through Potter's"five force"model and SWOT analysis method.. Through the analysis, the article try to find the development opportunity, the risk, the advantage and the weakness, and draw out the development strategy and the strategic measure, and pointes out the future direction of NBSCT.
