The market of cosmetic products in China is developing in recent years. In current stage, there are more than 4000 cosmetic companies, 1000 brands, and 4000 kinds of products. But China is a big country with various levels of consumers, there is still very large space for the new cosmetic companies. China has become a memeber of WTO. The market of cosmetic products in China is also becoming an important part of the world market. The taxes for importing cosmetic products have decreased, and the market is becoming more and more open. Under such conditions, some companies who had already investigated in China are planning to set up their Asia-Pacific centers for both production and research in China. Some famous international cosmetic companies, especially those from European, are wroking hard to enter the Chinese market, especially the high-end market. At the same time, some other small brands are aslo willing to enter the Chinese market.Besides, some top OEM companies are also interested in the Chinese market. Taking advantages of the low price of the human resource of China, they can provide the high-end products with better services. The foreign investment boosts the Chinese cosmetic market. We have more powerful competitors, but we also have a better platform and more chances. At the same time, the OEM market of China is also developing fast.This article is written under such a backgroud as mentioned above. The author carried out research in deep based on the company that he is working in, which might result in more meaningful conclusions. In this article, we first analysis the characters of OEM and the OEM market. Then, the current stage of the cosmetic market of China is described. After this, we introduce the methods of developing a new brand and marketing. Based on these, we try to figure out the best way of brand development and marketing for our company.
