The Application Of Value Engineering To SG Company Seamless Steel Tube Plant

With China's sustained and stable economic development and the world center of the processing industries established, as an important basis industry for economic--seamless steel pipe industry develops rapidly, yield grows continuously, international trade unusually actives and technological progress at an accelerated pace, international status hoists increasingly.Chongqing SG limited company mainly produces and sells Seamless Steel Tube. However, in recent years, SG limited company faces ever greater challenges because the contradiction between supply and demand and the fierce competition in the market. The production cost of SG companies Seamless Steel Tube Plant has been high, higher than the same industry nearly 40%, thus leading to the long-term losses complexion.Value engineering as a science, in order to get better technical and economic results ,both from the technical and economic point to research how to improve products, projects or service's value and reduce products, engineering or labor's cost. It needs to introduce the value engineering for SG company seamless steel tube plant and use VE to analyze the course of production in order to achieve the purposes of reducing cost.The main content of this paper is divided into the following parts: firstly, it introduces the application of value engineering theory, and gives a summary statement on the theory of the concept of value engineering, and its origin at home and abroad in the use and development. Secondly, the SG company Seamless Steel Tube and the production process of Seamless Steel Tube are introduced in brief. Finally, based on the value engineering theory, SG companies Seamless Steel Tube Plant material procurement, production process control and equipment managements are analyzed. It is proved by example that value engineering can play a positive role in the production process of seamless steel tube and achieve good economic and social efficiency. At the last of the paper, the author makes a number of feelings, and gives the expectation on the application of value engineering.
