Using information technology to drive industrialization is an important task for China to speed up the construction of modernization, as is one of the main strategies put forward by the Report of 16th National Congress of the Communist Party. And information industry is becoming a more and more important sector in China economics, with an average growth rate of 37.5% during last decade. ERP (enterprise recourse planning), as the primary management information system, becomes more popular than before.The largely increased market requirement generates a lot of new business opportunities for resellers. At the same time, more competitors entered into the market and new companies find it more difficult to win a customer. This thesis will describe the China ERP market from the view of an ERP reseller, analysis competition strategy and market position for a small company, and intends to provide a methodology for new consulting firm to do their business.In the first part of the thesis, it describes the status of China ERP market, including the annual market growth, situation of major ERP vendors and their market and channel strategy. In second part, it introduced the ERP market segment the marketing and competition strategy for resellers. And then it explained the internal management for a typical consulting reseller firm and gives the ways to financing their business. After that, risks for new resellers to start their business are discovered. And in the end, it gives a real case, Hanbosoft, a reseller for Microsoft ERP, to make the thesis easier to understand.
