Measure And Forecast Of The Differences In Economic Development In The Five Functional Areas Of Chongqing

Differences in regional economic development is an international universalphenomenon, due to the many factors such as politics, geography, resources, etc., thereis a difference in the economic development of each region more or less, Chongqing isone of the four municipalities in China, there also has the persistence of the "big city "," big Country " dual development structure in Chongqing, also, there is a big differencein economic development between the interior of the county. In the ChongqingMunicipal’s Third Plenary Session of the Forth Central Committee, the new division ofthe Five Functional Areas has been proposed, how to quantify and predict thedifferences of economic development in the Five Functional Areas will be the focus ofthis study.On the purpose of this paper, we hope to analyze the differences in economicdevelopment between the County of Chongqing finely as possible, and then forecastthe difference; we also hope to involve more indicators in this paper so as to reflect thefull range of characterization in Chongqing’s economic development; As to researchmethods, we first use AHP weights the indicators, carried out the overall evaluation ofthe economic strength in all the districts and counties in Chongqing; then we use theTheil index to measure the differences in economic development between the FiveFunctional Areas or within the Five Functional Areas; Finally, we hope to predict thedifference of economic development in the Five Functional Areas through the grayprediction method, and give our recommendations.
