With the development of the world globalization, Chinese economy is getting significantly improved. For the adaptation of the changes from the economy structure, the investment environment and the industry framework, the developed transnational corporations are trying to update their globalization strategy, their development and competitiveness strategy in China.This dissertation focuses on the communications industry and firstly analyzes the industry environment scanning, including: the general status and the changes of Chinese investment environment, the strong requirement for re-structure of the international communication industry, the company's value chain-based competitive advantage and source-based competitive advantage and AT company's core competitiveness as an example. Then based on such the competitive advantage, it is researched that the development strategic decision is the direction of the company's development; the competitive strategic decision is the way to get its competitiveness. AT company, as an example again, is making sense when selecting the competitive strategy and when Cost Competitive Advantage and Dissimilarity Competitive Advantage affect the competitive strategy. The research work on those aspects can be utilized by Chinese Transnational Corporations in Communications Industry as reference for making strategic decisions. This paper predicts the market prospect and the core competitiveness in future and also the role china will play in international communication industry as well.
