Study On Driving Mechanism Of Tourism Development In Suburban Small Towns

Considering characteristics of consumer behavior in domestic traveling and holiday traveling, suburban small towns are becoming the favorite destination where citizens spend their holidays, and tourism industry of small towns is developing rapidly. Affected by traditional ideas, operators stress too much on resource developing, while neglect nurturing its driving mechanism. As a result, there are too many similar products in short distance. Likewise, tourism driving mechanism of suburban small towns is rarely involved in theory field, either at home or aboad. Based on massive material analysis and questionnaire survey, this paper conducts a deep research into tourism driving mechanism of suburban small towns, taking Jinan as an example. The basic theory of this paper includes management science, economics, maketing, psychology, geography and so on.This paper mainly contains related concepts about tourism industry of small towns, fundamental researches on dynamic system and dynamic model of tourism industry of suburban small towns. It analyzes the composition of dynamic system of tourism industry of suburban small towns, the driving procedure and gradual changes of the driving mechanism. What can be drawn from the research is that tourism development of suburban small towns is a comprehensive system which is composed by lots of factors, but not one decided by a single factor. This paper sums up in two main factors, ie the demand structure which is decided by the essence of traveling experience and the relative superiority of suburban small towns. They are connected by mediating system and impetus the development of suburban small towns in a wide background. In the practical analysis, it analyzes the dynamic factors and the restrict factors of suburban small twons in Jinan systematically, and establish a reasonable index system to make a comprehensive evaluation on these small towns. Using theoretical models, it proposes the suitable model and corresponding strategies of tourism development.There are some innovations in this paper. It indicates the different place that tourism industry of suburban small towns take in the whole system of city tourism, and presents the relationship between them. As well, it makes a dynamic analysis on the development phase of driving mechanism of tourism industry in suburban small towns. In order to study on the dynamic model of tourism industry of suburban small towns separately, it divides suburban small towns into 3 groups: the resources leading group, the traveling reception group, and the environment depending group.Research on driving mechanism of tourism development of suburban small towns is a scientific process, where theory is from practice and then instructs practice so as to be improved gradually, which keeps circulating continually. This paper attempts to involve in this domain and has made some preliminary researches. Meanwhile, this paper carries out a practical research on suburban small towns in Jinan, in order to provide some valuable suggestions for the practical work.
