A Study On The Development Strategy Of County Economy In Hengyang

Being the basic unit of regional economy, county economy is the important foundations of a nation's economy. Since reform and opening up, the county economy of Hunan Province has achieved rapid development. Meanwhile, the pattern of competitive development of county economy is emerging in China. Moreover, county economy is playing an increasingly important role in some developed provinces' economic development. The provincial economic competition and their development potential have transferred to county economy. That's why our central government proposed to expand county economy at the 16th national congress. Thereafter, many provinces introduced policies and measures to intensify efforts to promote and create an atmosphere of friendly emulation. Attention spans of academic and theory circles are also constantly improving, and formed a lot of research results. Compared with the developed provinces of China, the level of county economy in Hunan is not high. How to accelerate the economic development of Hunan Province and its counties has been the growing concern of experts and scholars. This paper analyzes the present situation of Hengyang's county economy, and opportunities and challenges it is confronted with against the background of nationwide development of county economy. To provide reference for Hunan's development of county economy, the author also puts forward some remedial measures and strategic orientation for economic stimulation.
