Discussion On The Current Situation And Development Strategy For Fruit Trees Industry In Qinhuangdao

Based on the current situation and development trend in domestic and overseas, on the basis of full investigated on agricultural economy, natural resources, development environment and situation of fruit trees, in conformity with building Qinhuangdao City into coherence of three benefits of economy, ecology and society, three functions of production, life and ecology as a whole. Regional, scale, professional, industrial, information, high quality, modern and efficient fruit tree's industry. We have systematically programmed the constructive design of dimension, standardization, high quality in Qinhuangdao and put forward some feasible advice.Since the reform and open-up policy the fruit tree industry in Qinhuangdao has been fully developed especially since 90th, the fruit tree area and yield has been increased rapidly. Until 2006, the area of fruit trees had reached to 75,800 hm2,the yield was 563,000 tons. The output and process value went up to 2.03 billion RMB. Fruit output value accounted for 25.45% of the grass agriculture products, the average income of a farmer is near to 400RMB, it has become the leading industry in Qinhuangdao.The fruit industry in Qinhuangdao has deeply analyzed in this article after a lot of information being consulted and more social investigation being done. The result shows that we have got an effect on the fruit industry but there still exists some problems, such as lack of professional degree, low high-quality fruit, little exports, imperfect quality supervising system, low speed of standardization construction, low developed management level, lag development for follow-up system, distempered circulating system, lack of information for farmers, etc.Based on the problems mentioned above, the sustainable development strategy for fruit trees industry in Qinhuangdao has been put forward in this article. Generally it includes: (1) understand the situation clearly, enhance macro-adjustment and control; (2) do well on the layout arrangement on the fruit trees, stabilize the production; (3) establish the high quality fruit production system, improve the competitive ability; (4) reinforce training and set examples, increasing farmers'disposition; (5) broaden the overseas markets, accelerate the fruit values; (6) stress local character, create local fruit brand; (7) improve the quality monitoring safeguard system, set up the fruit entrance procedure; (8) actively explore the new models to develop the fruit trees.We are faced with the challenges and chances which come both from domestic and overseas markets after we entered WTO. We must make fully use of the advantages of local area and resources, optimize fruit tree structure, improve fruit quality, carry out standardized production, develop on the follow-up system, improve the agrotechnical dissemination system, broaden domestic and overseas markets, so as to accelerate the sustainable development of fruit industry in Qinhuangdao.
