Study On The Sino-US Trade Friction

The paper is based on the current situation of the Sino-US trade and the current situation of the Sino-US trade friction. The writer analyzed the reasons and the impact of the Sino-US trade friction, presented some ways to deal with the problems in Sino-US trade, with a view to promoting Sino-US economic and trade development of long-term friendly relations. There are totally five sections to introduce and analyze the Sino-US trade friction in this thesis.In the first part (introduction), the relevant research of scholars from home and broad is outlined, the theoretical and practical significance of this subject is introduced and the structure of this paper is introduced, the main viewpoints and the author's creativity is also given.The second part introduced the current situation of the Sino-US trade, the current situation of the Sino-US trade friction and several issues focus in the Sino-US trade friction. In recent years, with China's rapid economic development, the Sino-US trade has made substantial progress, rapid growth of bilateral trade volume, notable changes in trade structure, constant expanding scale of bilateral investment. At the same time, the Sino-US trade friction happens frequently, and it becomes a major obstacle to the healthy development of the Sino-US economic and trade. This part introduces several issues focus in the Sino-US trade friction, such as the anti-dumping issue, the problem of TBT and the textile trade friction, and also summary analysis the reason, the background and the impaction of these several issue focus in the Sino-US trade.The third part introduced the reason and the impaction of the Sino-US trade friction. There are many reasons for the Sino-US friction, the main reasons are as follows: the impact of transnational corporations in Economic Globalization; the returning of the United States trade protectionism; the uncoordinated international industrial structure and the adjustment of the United States industrial structure; the containment from the United States to China; the lower structure of the export product from China, excessive dependence on foreign trade; lack of self-discipline of the export enterprises; Chinese enterprises'weak ability to cope with the trade conflict. Under all of the reasons above, in recent years, the number of the Sino-US trade friction increases, and has a series of impact on Sino-US economic and trade relations and the world economy. The main impactions are as follows: 1.The growing of the Sino-US trade friction has an impact on the development of the Sino-US relations. 2. The growing of the Sino-US trade friction has enhanced the psychological prevention of the United States to China's economic rise. 3. The growing of the Sino-US trade friction has made the conflict emerging inclination. 4. The growing of the Sino-US trade friction has made China and the United States to consider the development direction of Sino-US economic and trade cooperation seriously. Viewed from another angle, moderate trade friction is conductive to improve their economic system of operation during trade. With the development of economic globalization, economic exchanges between the countries are even more closely. The Sino-US trade friction has also a certain degree of influence on the development of the world economy. In the following two aspects: 1.affecting the process of economic globalization;2.having an adverse demonstration effect in the global context.The fourth part raised the solutions of the issue of Sino-US trade friction China and the United States should have a new awareness of the meaning and correct the view of the Sino-US trade friction. There are six policy proposals: 1.Changing in ways of trade growth, expanding the domestic demand; 2.Speeding up the"going out"pace; 3.Timely adjusting the RMB exchange rate, changing in strategy in foreign exchange reserves; 4.Accelerating the process of market, fighting for market economy status; 5.Strengthening inter-governmental collaboration and trade regulation; 6.Making full use of the WTO dispute settlement mechanism.At present, China's economic strength is no match with the United States, which is an objected fact. This requires China to the WTO in trade dispute with the United States, possible use of the WTO dispute settlement mechanism to solve the problem. Similarly, as a member of WTO, the United States also has the obligation to obey the WTO dispute settlement mechanism. The mechanism is binding on the United States, China and the United States will naturally be less repeated consultations, negotiations and will be more efficient, fair settled. In today's increasingly competitive world economy, international competition is no longer just the capital and technology competition Law has been involved in the game. China should learn to use the weapon of law to protect themselves.
