| With the development of economic globalization and regional economic integration, the regional industrial agglomeration degree becomes the main factor that influences the regional industrial competition level. As the basic and pillar trades of China, the development of the iron and steel industry relates to the lifeline of the national economy. The research shows that industrial cluster is one of the important ways to cultivate and enhance the iron and steel industry competition advantages. However, the iron and steel industry of China still has the problems such as small scale, low concentration degree, low technological level, and inadequate innovation ability based upon recent research situation. In the mean time, studies on traditional industrial cluster such as iron and steel industrial cluster are far more less than the technologic industrial cluster. Therefore, this thesis attempts to examine the ways to construct innovation networks of iron and steel industrial cluster and the corresponding operation and governance mechanism on the basis of innovation network perspective.The thesis covers six parts. First, the thesis starts by illustrating the background, reason, content and methodology for studying innovation networks of iron and steel industrial cluster. Then, the thesis provides a brief literature review at home and abroad on the industrial cluster theory and innovation network theory. The relationship between industrial cluster and innovation network is indicated in this part as well. Followed by the literature review, this thesis concludes the formation reason of industrial cluster innovation networks, establishes the related structural model, and analysis the modes of element linkage and resource fluxions. After that, the operation and governance mechanisms of the iron and steel industrial cluster innovation network are discussed; the corresponding advantages are summarized. Finally, a case study of Tang Shan iron and steel industrial cluster innovation network is provided. |
