The Research On International Procurement System

In the trend of globalization, international procurement becomes an important method for international companies to survive the severe competition. As more and more international companies take it as a key issue in future development, successful management on global procurement becomes one of the central parts of companies' operations strategies.Based on procedure analysis, this papers offer introduction of new international procurement system and conduct research on its main issues: suppliers management and E-procurement.First, the paper illustrated the status, process and feature of traditional international procurement system. Second, focused on the introduction of the new international procurement system, which is E-procurement, and explained the process, feature, advantage and execution of the E-procurement. Third, in addition to the theory of supply cooperation, a series of index is presented as standard to evaluate suppliers. Forth, in special concern of the GE Corporation's plan of E-procurement, introduced and analyzed the main function of business process in the E-procurement system, declared the relationship of the system function and the procurement system, status and problems of the GE, together with author's suggestion in decision-making.This paper tried hard to analyze and solve the problems which happened in the enterprise, with the basic theories or methods of international procurement and E-commerce, for the goal of fundamentally strengthening the competitive ability of the enterprise. This paper's main content lies in that how to provide a method to optimize the activities of the international procurement. Additionally, the research method and the conclusion of this paper also have some certain reference significance for some enterprises of China.
