With the constant improvement of China's economy development and people's awareness of tourism, self-driving tour as a newly emerged form of tourism in China has been rapidly developed. Many valuable experiences have been accumulated in the development and theoretical research of self-driving tour in western样本数ries But in China we are in the lack of corresponding research with an insufficient understanding of the characteristics of self-driving tourists and a lack of practical guidance. At the same time practice shows that self-driving tour activities are in close contact with the development of regional economic and culture, which showed a certain amount of regional characteristics. So it is of great significance that we explore the general characteristics of self-driving tourist groups on the basis of empirical analysis of the behavior of regional self-driving tourists.This paper is on the basis of relevant research results as well as travel psychology, behavior psychology and consumer behavior, and explore the system of factors which influence the behavior of self-driving tourists. Also, it focuses on the motivation, decision-making, process, spatial analysis, analysis on aspects of satisfaction of self-driving tour in Beijing, and will summarize the overall characteristics of the behavior of self-driving tourists in Beijing and the differences among different groups. The in-depth study will provide tour operators basic data for the actual work and provide information to guide the development of self-driving tourism.Literature research, in-depth interviews and research are the main methods in this study. Based on the application of SPSS (13.0) statistical analysis software, 200 valid questionnaires were given multivariate analysis. The following four issues are solved with a combination of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis:(1) The behavior of self-driving tourists is explored and a behavioral factors system with psychology characteristics as subjective expectation and behavior characteristics as the process of behavior is summarized. The system is divided into 3 main categories, 12 categories and 22 sub-categories. These behavioral factors answer the questions in the following 4 dimensions: who will become self-driving tourists, what do they like, why and how do they compose self-driving tours;(2) On the basis of the behavioral factors system, the overall behavior characteristics of self-driving tourists in Beijing are analyzed in the three aspects of demographic characteristics, psychological characteristics and behavior characteristics;(3) On the basis of the behavioral factors system, the differences of behavior between sexual groups, age groups and mode groups of self-driving tourists in Beijing are discussed;(4) On the basis of empirical analysis of the behavior of self-driving tourists in Beijing, the development system of government-led self-driving tourism and recommendations on marketing of self-driving tourism are proposed self-driving tourism to guide the development of local self-driving tourism and provide references for national-wide self-driving tourism.Not only does this study summarize the overall characteristics of self-driving tourists with regional characteristics, also it focuses the behavioral differences among different groups of tourists and fill the gap of in-depth study on segment market of self-driving tourists. This study has both a theoretical significance and a practical significance.
