Tourism resources, unique and attractive, are the basis of the development of tourism industry. Therefore, the development of tourism industry must rely on the exploitation of tourism resources, which is based on the accurate understanding and scientific appraisement of the resources. Karst tourism resources are the best resources and masterworks in the tourism resources, and compared with ordinary tourism resources, they have incomparable advantages, no matter on the natural ecology attraction or technological and cultural content. They are formed by complicated and various geological factors, have abundant kinds of resource and wide distributed areas. There are many developed karst scenic area which have enormous tourism benefits, therefore karst tourism resources are the supported brand of China tourism industry.A lot of areas in our country regard tourism industry as the supported industry and try hard to accelerate local advancement by the development of tourism industry at present, while most of the karst tourism resources areas are distributed in poor mountain areas and compacted minority community. Therefore, to exploit local tourism resources is one of the effective approaches to make these areas shake off poverty and set out on the road to prosperity. So it is obvious that the action of appraising, exploiting and protecting tourism resources and developing tourism industry scientifically and healthily have important realistic meanings and far-reaching historic significance.This thesis choose Xiao Qikong scenic area karst tourism as research object and carry on a deep research to the exploitation of karst tourism resources. The Xiao Qikong scenic area is a part of world natural heritage of "southern China karst". It has explained the evolution history of the ground form of karst, and displayed the distribution characteristic of the ground form of karst, ecological course and bio-diversity of the earth's surface, underground. The variety in karst characteristic and ground form view of scenic area is unparalleled, which represents in best example of karst view from humid tropics to humid subtropical region in the world. Zhangjiang scenic area which the Xiao Qikong belongs to, is third batch of one of the eight national-level key scenic area of Guizhou province, examined and approved by the State Council. Here's the earth to keep the most intact karst virgin forest with the latitude. The area of scenic area is only 10km2, but includes grotesque peak, deep and remote hole, clear spring, cliffside waterfall. In the beautiful mountains and rivers ,it hids a lot wonderful views that is worth appreciating. Deepen it into it, it is wonderful to know.The thesis first starts with the system research of the physiognomy of Karst and the relevant theories of karst tourism, combine foreign and domestic experiences and lessons of the exploitation of tourism resources, analyze its process, objective law and era context, and choose the Xiao Qikong scenic area of Libo in Guizhou as the research object to carry on this case study. According to the characteristic of the Xiao Qikong scenic area, the author amalgamate local tourism environment, position conditions and national customs, to probe into the characteristic of tourism resources of the Xiao Qikong karst scenic area. And, on this basis, propose the strategy, development of tourism product and protection of resources of the travel of tourism development. In the view of realistic meaning, this text is favorable to the deployment of the tourism resource in the karst scenic area, make the tourism products, cultivate new point of tourism economy growth, make the exploitation of the resources of the scenic area develop in the healthy and orderly direction.
