As the economical globalization advances promptly, the reform-and-open policy of our country is deeply carried out. In addition, the corporate environment change greatly s, people's working pace are getting faster and the social competition are increasingly strong. All these changes make the pressure of the corporate staffs reach the extent that was never got to. Working pressure makes a strong impact on the physical, psychological and behavioral conditions, so it becomes an important factor which affects the organizing performance.The manufacturing industry in the Pearl River Delta area (PRD) is well developed and so is the mainstay of the regional economy. The workers play a fundamental role in the numerous manufacturing sector, but their disadvantages in education background, skills, income and domicile make them members of the disadvantaged groups, and have to take on much more pressure than members of other organizations, which may not only lead to the individual injury of the workers, but also have a bad effect on the enterprise efficiency and social welfare. Therefore, it is of great practical significance to analyze the relationship of pressure, working performance and social welfare of the manufacturing staff in PRD.This issue consists of five chapters. In Chapter I, the in and abroad theories of stress management is generalized through the introduction of the historical and current development of the theory. Chapter II presents the stress management of the manufacturing staff in PRD. It illuminates the necessity to carry it out by analyses of the background, in which the stress management of the manufacturing staff in PRD-area was brought forward. Chapter III presents the model of the stress management in manufacturing enterprises of PRD by searching for the pressure sources of this group, analyzing the model of stress management of the local government departments and enterprises as well as the behavior and performance under the model, and establishing the goal which the management should achieve.Chapter IV is related to the questionnaire survey concerning the stress of the manufacturing staff in the PRD. It covers the pressure sources, the model of stress management and its performance, to insure the facility of the above-mentioned viewpoints and provide backing to the suggestion, which would be put forward in Chapter V.
