In the 1960s, the major developed countries and regions in the world form a different characteristics of the rural development model in the basic realization of the modernization of agriculture, which is the most representative of the United States and Canada as the representative of agricultural resources advantages of the mode of development, and Japan, the Netherlands, Israel, represented by resource-poor agriculture-based development model, as well as the representative of South Korea for a combination of agricultural and rural development. The agriculture and the rural areas in China have undergone great changes in nearly 30 years, but the deep-seated contradictions which constraint rural development have yet to be eliminated, so the overall development of rural areas faces many challenges. How to learn the successful experiences from developed countries in agriculture and rural development and find a suitable new path for China's agriculture and rural development is an urgent need to address the major issues.China's overall economic and social development has been promoting access to the agricultural, rural town with the new stage. At this stage, only the coordinating urban, rural economic and social development strategy, speed up the building of "production development, well-off life, civilized for rural residents, the village capacity clean, democratic management of a new socialist countryside, as we can achieve a comprehensive well-off society and modern power the grand goal of realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. The article in the South Korean success of the new rural construction on China's analysis of the new rural construction made some suggestions. The main content of this study include:Chapter I: Introduction describes some of the major topics of background, significance, frameworks and methodologies of this study, and focus on the construction of new rural research progress at home and abroad, in particular on the United States, Japan and South Korea, represented by three different types rural development model. Studying and comparing these different types of successful rural development models is of great theoretical and practical significance for China's ongoing construction of a new socialist countryside.Chapter II: Introduces the background of South Korea Village Movement, the main stage of development, the main content, the construction of village path, and the limitations of South Korea's New Village Movement, and an evaluation of South Korea's New Village Movement. Generally speaking, the New Village Movement in Korea has made tremendous achievements, is a relatively successful rural development models, and China has an important reference.Chapter III: An analysis of the background, main contents, and the path of the construction of a new socialist countryside in China.Chapter IV: The important content of the paper. The paper makes use of quantitative methods to conducte an in-depth comparative analysis between the two countries in building new countryside. Research shows that there is a new strong comparability between the two countries, such as the initial construction of new rural development stage and the basic situation, the situation of the rural areas, agriculture and farmers, the state-led economic development model, Oriental culture and philosophy, internal problems in rural areas, the imbalance between urban and rural development, and other aspects of social contradictions and so on, but there is a greater difference in basic conditions, guiding ideas, participation of farmers, management system, the stage of economic development, protection of agriculture, rural development path of industrialization and urbanization level, and the rural land property rights.Chapter V: Focuses on the Enlightenment to China's new rural construction from the South Korea's New Village Movement.Chapter VI: makes the main conclusions of the paper, and for deficiencies the paper make further efforts in the future.
