The Study On Green Consumption In The View Of Philosophy

With the rapid development of industrial civilization, the level of productive forces had continuous improvement and social wealth increased rapidly. Dominated by the thinking of narrow human-centered doctrine, consumerism values and lifestyle based on material doctrine arose, and eventually caused the serious damage to natural resources and ecological environment. So human beings and all living organisms on Earth are facing a severe survival pressure now. During the late 1970s and early 1980s, a large-scale green movement broke out in the Western world. Green consumption, as a consumption advocate of green environmental protection organization, became well-known with the developing green movement and gradually developed into a new fashion of the international consumption in the 1990s.Green consumption, with the deepening ecological crisis and changing concept of human consumption, is a totally new life concept and consumption pattern based on the reflection of the defects of traditional ones .It is the sense of crisis and responsibility according to various ecological problems in various degrees. It is the ecological study and philosophy reflection of traditional consumption patterns. And it is a new concept of consumption patterns and values formed in the practice of human activities. The ultimate concern of Green Consumption is saving the nature from the damage of human beings. It is hoped that through the promotion of green consumption, we can change the status of ecological environment and promote the sustainable development of human society. It is a modern consumption pattern guided by the thinking of sustainable development. Green consumption is beneficial not only to protecting the ecological environment, but also to the healthy development of human and society. It is the result of rational choice of human being and moral self-discipline and it is a necessary requirement of ecological civilization.With gradually further understanding of human beings, the meaning "green" has been far beyond the scope of environmental protection. The "green consumption" gradually has turned its focus to the review of industrial civilization, the reflection of social development model, as well as the thinking of survival shape in the future. At present, green consumption has become a great trend of the development of consumption in the world. It also has increasingly become the main development trend of China's consumption and promoted China's building of a harmonious society.The green consumption should be promoted for the construction of harmonious society in China. Although the government has already adopted all sorts of measure to improve the development of green consumption, China's green consumption level still mainly stays at the aspect of productive green consumption impelled by the government. The main tide of life consumption development is far away from the green standard..This paper study the green consumption on the philosophy angle from the development of consumption patterns in the humanity history . it will relate not only to the history study of consumption patterns of human society, but also to the recognition of natural view, values and other aspects.This paper can be divided into four chapters, starting on the review of the evolution of consumption pattern. Chapter 1 introduces the times background and content of the rise and development of green consumption. The second chapter inspects three consumption patterns under the three civilizations in human history from a philosophical perspective, and respectively discusses their evolution and each characteristic. Through the analysis of their characteristics, a conclusion can be drawn that green consumption has replaced industrial consumption and adapted to the development of the new era. In Chapter 3, the initial significance of green consumption in the philosophy recognition has been expatiated. And some related issues in the construction of China's green consumption are introduced in the last chapter.
