Corporate social responsibility has become an increasingly widespread concern in the public. In recent years, people have been discussing that enterprises should bear social responsibility. This paper is devoted to discuss the social responsibility of the tourist hotels in China. Based on the theory of corporate social responsibility, this paper endeavors to study the contents, current situations and the strategies to improve, by adopting the literature survey and comparative study methods. Six parts are included in the structure of "Cornerstone - Theory - Practice - Countermeasure".The first part is introduction. It presents the background of the research, previous research achievements, and the research methods.The second part is the cornerstone of the whole paper, introducing the development and the content of the theory of social responsibility of enterprises, and also theapplication and development of this theory in our country.The third part is the theoretical part. This part reviews the history of tourist hotels in China and presents some information about the stakeholders of tourist hotels. It also summarizes the categories and content of social responsibility which the tourist hotels should bear. At last, it answers the question "what's the responsibility should be".The forth part is concerning the practice. It mainly compares the social responsibility the hotels take at home and abroad, and then moves on to the causes of the difference, and later answers the question "how is the present situation".The fifth part is about countermeasures. In this part, it puts forward the countermeasures on improving the current situations of the tourist hotels bearing the social responsibility in macro-, meso- and micro-level view, and gives the answers to the question "how to deal with it".The sixth part is the conclusion. It concludes the major conclusions and the limitations of this paper.
