Competition in 21st century is the competition of talent. Electric power industry is a sort of knowledge-intensive and technology-intensive industry. With electric power system reforming deeply and the change of supply and demand in power market, former talent structure can not adapt well to new situation. So Jiangsu Power Company have to regard training as an important human capital invest if they want to improve whole quality and meet the need of competition and development by training.Jiangsu Power Company were trying to consummate training management system, but they faced so many problems and baffles on their way. From the viewpoint of human resource management and development, this article adopted theory guidance, problem profile, statistical analysis, practical operation and other ways to analyze training situation and inside and outside circumstance in China. Then summarized advanced experience of three famous electric power companies such as Australia, France and Germany, analyzed education level and skill structure, pointed out active demand of talent in electric power system. This article also analyzed major problems about training in electric power system on the base of actual situation. At last, the author found some effective ways to settle these problems.
