The Study On Industry Transition Of Huaihua

In China, with the determining factor of interregional division of factor accumulation changing from resource-technology to resource-technology-capital-human capital, the under-developed regions whose economy are resource-based economy will in unfavorable status in the process of allocating benefits. To speed up the process of industry transition is of great significance for narrowing the regional gap and achieving balanced development.The thesis makes a case study of Huaihua. First, sums up the relevant theories and present headway about industrial structure; Then, using SSM analyses the characteristics of Huaihua's industrial structure evolution from 1978 to 2006, and finds out the problems in Huaihua's industrial structure; Then, analyzes the influencing factors of industry transition from natural resources,market demands,the tendency of industry development to the division of labor; At last, using SWOT means and Factor Analysis means, the paper analyses the pattern of industry transition, and chooses the Leading Industry to finish the study of industry transition strategy in Huaihua .The main conclusions are as follows:(1) With the strategy of Western Development,Western of Hunan Development,the growing up in the central part and transfer of manufacturing, Huaihua has laid a good foundation for industry transition because of outstanding location and abundant natural resources.(2) Through the analysis of the influencing factors of industry transition, the paper analyses the pattern of industry transition using SWOT means. It contains pattern SO,pattern ST,pattern WO,pattern WT.(3)The final results of choosing the leading industry is: the farm produce processing industry,the electric power,the forestry industry,pharmaceutical industry and logistics industry. (4)At last, the paper proposes some suggestions about industry transition in Huaihua, which includes: Vigorously cultivate leading industry, increase the industry's core competency; Optimizing its industrial structure, raising the quality of economic growth; Using outstanding location, accept transferred industries; Speeding up the urbanization, broadening the room for the industry growing.
