Study On Industry Transition Of Coal-oriented City

Coal-oriented city special historical background and the particularity of its leadingindustry, make industry transition necessary for urban development. The success of theindustrial transition not only directly relates to regional economic development of coalorientedcity, but also to the entire national economy in China, even in relation to the socialstability and unity. Therefore, the study of coal-oriented city industry transition has won moresignificance and value from resources, environment, economy, population and social aspects.It makes coal-oriented city realize sustainable development and strategic significance.Based on a large number of documents home and abroad, It firstly defines the relatedconcept of coal-oriented city and industry transition. Secondly the coal-oriented city presentdevelopment situation and the existing problems are discussed and transition trends issummarized. On base of foreign successful experience of transition, Principle, timing androute choice of industry transition are proposed. Then Combining with the typical coalorientedcities, Tong Chuan, it constructs index system of choosing the leading industries andthe analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is used to find leading industry in the process of industrytransition. The measure of leading industry and the other industry are disscused. Finally, thesafeguard measures of industry transition which has certain guidance and reference for coalorientedcity are put forward.
