In current society,enterprise is the body of business.Every enterprise is aim to earn more profit,and reduce the risk.Merger & Acquisition is a new approach of enterprise investment with high profit and low risk.With China economy rapid growth,China has been one of the fastest growing markets in the express industry.Each global express company is going to enter China due to the big express market.According to the commitment of joining World Trade Organization,from 11th,Novenber 2005,global express company is petmitted to establish wholly foreign-owned enterprise in China.So,each global express company, such as DHL,UPS,TNT and FedEx begins the new round investment and they all hope to earn more profit in China.At the beginning of 2006,FedEx announced its purchase of Tianjin Datian W. Group Company's 50%share stake in the FedEx-DTW International Priority Express and DTW Group's domestic express network for approximately 400 million USD in cash.Following the purchase,FedEx transferred their organizational structure from a joint venture to a wholly foreign-owned enterprise in China.Meanwhile,FedEx has also purchased DTW Group's assets which are used to undertake international express business and its assets for domestic express business in China's around 100 regions.Enterprise Merger & Acquisition will meet a lot of problems on integration,such as business,process,procedure,human resourse,IT resource,and so on.And IT network integration is one of the key points in all fields.Because FedEx business is fully depend on the IT network.However,how to migrate DTW's IT network into FedEx network without any operation impacts,meanwhile,all network & equipment must comply with FedEx requirements of security,stability,management and monitor, it's the big challenge to FedEx project team.In this paper,as a member of FedEx Merger & Acquisition project team,author will use Project Management tools and techniques,study and analyze IT resource integration project,especially on project quality assurance & control.Then provide the solution for project quality assurance & control.Hope this could guide express company perform IT network integration in the future.
