With the continuous development of information technology, in order to improve enterprise management level and enhance the core competitiveness of enterprises as well, more and more enterprises begin to adopt information technology to build departments level or enterprise level application systems to support their core and ancillary businesses. However, in the implementation of the project, many service vendor just rely on individual technical backbone of his own so-called expert to control the entire project rather than project management professional, and thus ultimately leading to failure of the project. Most of the owner to pack the escrow, the lack of project control process problems with the implementation of quality and efficiency, ultimately leading to the failure of project.The credibility of a project is established based on quality. Benefit is also brought by quality. The management of the project quality is one of the key project management activities, and is particularly important for the construction project of information system.There are many factors that would affect the project quality in the process of information system construction. The lack of management and control in the process of system development, the in-comprehensiveness in system test, the unreasonableness of the deployment plan, the input error of initial data, and the lack of sufficient training, and so on, may all cause problems in the system’s function, performance, data and security, and then have some impacts on the application of system and operation of the business,which, in serious situation, may incur losses for enterprise image and economic interest. At present, the quality management systems and standards for software project are quite many, but specific guidance for the quality management in the implementation process of the information system is lacking. We need to practice and explore based on the specific characteristics of the project.Based on the project of integration of marketing and distribution of Yunfu Power Supply Bureau, this paper, goes over/analyzes the possible problems in the quality management during the implementation of the project, studies/analyzes the process and method for improving project quality management by applying relevant theory and tools of project quality management, and lastly reviews and summarizes the quality management of the case project, and put forward the frame and relevant toolkit for the quality management system of information system.This paper, by applying theory and tools of project quality management, aims to solve practical problems of project quality management based on combination of theory and practice, and shall have the significance of guidance and reference for the quality management of similar projects.
