At first, the external environment and situation of private express enterprise is analyzed to begin to research the issue of competitive strength of Chinese private express enterprise. Then, the text compares and analyzes the Chinese private express enterprise, foreign-owned express enterprises and EMS under the competitive strength index system using the competitive strength theory. And then the text makes further analysis of the competitive strength of private express enterprise thorough the investigation of the degree of satisfaction of customer to get the advantage and disadvantage of private express enterprise. The competitive advantage of private express enterprise is low price, big scope of the branch companies, and the quick and flexible service. The competitive disadvantage is the extensive form management system, low staff quality, low level of the management and information, simple homoplasy, being short of big brand, and comparatively limited scope of branch, and the overcompetition intensify the development of the disadvantages. Based on the analysis, the text puts forward the stratagem to improve the competitive power of private express enterprise. The private express enterprises should increase input to improve the quality of companies, segment market in home market and properly join the international market, attach importance to the overall construction of the brand, use the development space supplied by the e-business, use the regional economic integration to accelerate the development, integrate resource to improve the power of the private express enterprises. In a word, the private express enterprises should change them selves according to the external and internal change and construct the core competitiveness to get the source to keep the superior position in the competition.
