There are close relation between the marketing ability and the market competitiveness of electric power generation project. Because of the power market reform, power project are confronted with a lot of problems, especially on marketing strategy. How to exploit the power consuming market, develop the potential of marketing of electric power project, and enlarge the market share of the region by organizing efficient marketing system, make effective marketing strategy are the problems that have to be dealt with urgently. On the basis of analyzing to the electric marketing theory, this paper combines the characteristic of the Beijing and Tianjin Tang electric power market, analyzes both the inside and external marketing environment condition of electric power generation. Then, on the focus of the actual conditions of Datang Zhangjiakou power plant, the paper proposes some measures and suggestions to improve the competitive ability of electric power generation project. And the conclusion has certain reference value.
