Green Trade Barrier's Investigation And Research On Measures For Coping With It

WTO pushes the process of trade liberalization rapidly by a series of measures, such as, reducing the tariff .It is impossible for most of countries to restrict products and service of the others countries to entry their countries. In order to protect their benefits, they begin to adopt much new kinds of non-tariff trade barrier, especially, green trade barrier. A lot of developed countries make use of their superiorities in technology and economy design much unilateral measures of environment protection, that is green trade barrier, since the regulations of WTO endow exception right of environmental protection with membership and it has no clear limit for using the rule.Green trade barrier results in distortion of free trade, it brings export of developing countries with huge impact, especially, China as a great country of export. For sake of coping with green trade barrier successfully, it turns necessary to carry on theoretic research and analysis. Accordingly, we can find a good solution to deal with issue of green trade barrier. This paper sets forth the formative reasons of green trade barrier and its appearances firstly. And then, based on WTO rules, the paper analyses the international law foundation of green trade barriers. Particularly, the paper gives more concerning with rationality of European twins directive combining with job practice. In the last part of it, the paper provides with solutions for green trade barrier. they include that our countries can adopt policies on perfecting lawmaking, increasing financial support with environmental industry, improving citizen consciousness of environmental protection and pushing enterprises to produce green products following with green laws in macroscopical level. Next, enterprises as restricted objects by green trade barrier should take material measures on strengthening enterprise's union, making good use of WTO DSU, constructing green supply chain.
