Research On The Relationship Between Enterpreneurial Ability And Firm Growth

Entrepreneurs are the high-class human capital of the development of the economic and society. In modern society, they are not only the most dynamic factors of production but also the most scare economic resources. They are the cultural founder, advocates and keepers. The entrepreneurial abilities play key roles during the course of business growth. In recent years, a large number of faster-growing firms are emerged in China. However, many of them are faced management crisis. The growth path is not very good. Therefore, it has an important role to research on the relationship between the entrepreneurial abilities and the firm development for the growth of the firms and economy in China.This paper carries out the academic and empirical study on the relationship between entrepreneurial abilities and the firm growth. First of all, the theories of entrepreneurial abilities and the relationship between the entrepreneurial abilities and firm are summarized, and the object of study in this paper is confirmed.Secondly, on the basisi of summarizing the relevant business growth literature, the business growth forms are divided into internal growth and external growth, based on which the relations and mathching process of the entrepreneurial abilities and internal growth, external growth are analyzed. The internal growth is further divided into three dimensions: firm size, firm's key competitiveness and the organizational structure. Thirdly, the continued supply of entrepreneurs from the labor market, the accumulation curve model of the entrepreneurial ablities, and the dynamic evolition of the relation network model are the three aspects in researching the changing of the entrepreneurial abilities with the business growth. Finally, through using SPSS11.5, this paper made statistical analysis such as include fiducially test, validity test, description statistic, correlation analysis, canonical correlation analysis and multivariate stepwise regression. Through the empirical study, this paper draws conclusions as follows: (1) As to the firm growth, the most important abilities are the strategic ability, relational ability and the management ability; (2) most of the firms have high internal growth ability, which means there is great developing space; (3) the external environment can effect the relation of the entrepreneurial abilities and the firm growth.
