Research On Recreational Value Evaluation Of Urban Wetland In Hangzhou

Urban wetlamd is an important part of urban ecosystem.As the recreational function of urban wetland attracts more attention,the research on urban wetland and recreational value becomes more important.Under the Background of increasing cases on operational right transfer of senic spots and call on environment protection,capiliazation management of tourism resource is urgent.Two urban wetland in Hangzhou——Westlake and Xixi wetland, are choosen as cases for this study.This paper combined quantitative and qualitative methods in the evaluation of the recreational value of the two wetlands,especially based on the analysis of the data obtained by means of questionnaire survey,and a comparison is done between the two weblands.Based on this,some countermeasures are put forward on the wise use of urban wetlands in Hangzhou.This study can serve as a scientific reference for the capitalization management of the tourism resources and exploitation of recreational function.The conclusions of this paper are as follows:1.This paper gives the definition of urban wetland on the bases of literary review about wetlands and urban wetlands,and analyses are given about their characters,effects and recreational functions.Then it classifies the recreational value of urban wetlands according to theory on ecosystem service functional value.It mainly includes the direct use value and non-use value.2.It simply discusses the components of the recreational value of urban wetlands,mainly including scenery elements,environmental elements and cultural elements.At the same time,this paper establishes the evaluation system of recreational value of urban wetlands,primarily involving the whole evaluating process,content,method and the request on every stage.3.It gives the value of each component of the recreational value of Westlake and Xixi wetland on the bases of questionnaire survey and site investigation.Meantime,it analyses the difference of comsumption behaviour,the cognition on the effects and recreational function of urban wetlands between local visitors and tourists.Approaches of Travel Cost Method(TCM) and Contigent Value Method(CVM) are both taken in the evaluation of the recreational value of Westlake(scenic area around the lake) and Xixi wetland(the open area at the first period) which include the direct use value and non-use value.As a result,it reaches the conclusion that the recreational value of Westlake(scenic area around the lake) is 2,666,235,000Yuan,and 219,032,000Yuan for Xixi wetland(the open area at the first period).Then it compares the Westlake with the Xixi wetland,including quantitative and qualitative analysis.According to relative study results,it can be taken as true that the method dealing with several destination travel and the substitute of the sceneic spot has great influence on the evaluation of consumer surplus.
