The Study On The Development Strategy Of Qinhuangdao Power Co., Ltd

As the reformation of the electric power system makes deeper progress, and the emphasis on the implementation of the States'policy on energy and on environment protection are increasing, the business pattern for the electric power industry and the management for the power generating company have been changed greatly. According to the process of strategic management, this dissertation researches the development strategies of Qinhuangdao Power Co., Ltd. in new power industry environment to adapt changes.First, a comprehensive review to the development of electricity industry abroad is presented based on the new competitive electricity market structure and strategic management theory. Secondly, the thesis respectively analyses the external and industrial environment according to PEST analytic model and Porter's industrial analytic model, then, it points out clearly the opportunities and threats which Qinhuangdao Power Co., Ltd. faces presently, by using EFE key strategic factors evaluation matrix. Thirdly, the thesis analyses systematically the internal environment from 7 factors and evaluates it by using IFE key strategic factors evaluation matrix. Then we also study the strategy objective, strategy position and related principles, by using such approach as SWOT model. And finally, we propose relevant tactics for implementation.
