Study Of China's Energy Security

In recent years, energy security especially the oil security gets broad attention. It's mainly because oil has ve;y important stratagem status in economy, national defense, military affairs and diplomatism. Oil has been an important factor that affects one country's economy and polity security. In the G8 summit which was held at July 15^th to 17^th in 2006, energy security has been first raised as the main topic for discussion and the keystone to solve this problem was to strengthen cooperation between countries. So energy security can be looked upon as a nontraditional security which is a multinational problem that is caused by nonpolitical and unmilitary factors but can affect and even threaten the development of every country. This is the theory foundation of this paper.With studying of the whole position of oil supply and demand,oil consumption in different industries and changes in regions of our hometown and of imports and exports trade, we can see that the status quo of oil is that there are imbalance and the net importation expends year after year. It is attributing to the development of economy: one reason is industrial set-ups—rise of industries (heavy industries such as automobile estate) and transfer of industries from abroad—that affect energy consumption set-ups; another reason is expand of population. Except to improve energy efficiency, the increasing of oil consumption can not be reversed for the conversion of the industrial set-ups and the expand of population can not be changed. So the oil security will last for a long time.By now the manifestation of oil security is the severity pollution of circumstance and the discharge of a great deal of greenhouse gas in the atmosphere; The oil price and the international relationships will bring us hidden trouble in oil for a long time; In the long run the oil security will come true by the dry up of it and will bring us catastrophic aftereffect. So the stand of this paper is to study countermeasures in the age with no oil , that is to develop substitute energy especially the solar energy which is the only approach to solve the energy security to the core. In the course we can combine some transition policy such as set up energy organization, improve energy efficiency, improve ability of high-tech innovation, reform oil market, and strengthen cooperation with America and East Asia etc in energy.The innovation of this paper is that it puts the post-oil era counter -measures in the foremost status, other policies are the preparation for it. There are also some views of myself in the paper.
