The Research On Cooperative Innovation For Upgrading Industrial Competitiveness

With the emergence of the knowledge economy, along with the closer relation among modern science and technology and economy, more and more economists and entrepreneurs believe that technological innovation is the source of industrial competitiveness and economic viability, and it is gradually becoming the critical element to promote the economic growth and the advance of industrial competitiveness. Since scientific and technological innovation can enhance industries competitive advantage, we should choose the best innovative strategies. The choice of innovative strategies directly related to the performance of scientific and technological innovation, and also influences the upgrade of industrial competitive. With the current situation of China, we believe that cooperative innovation is the best strategy to promote industrial competitiveness. Therefore, aiming at improving industries competitive advantages, the dissertation studies the models and features of cooperative innovation, and the mechanism of cooperative innovation to improve industries competitive advantage,the performance of cooperative innovation.The dissertation first chooses the strategies of cooperative innovation to upgrade the industrial competitiveness, and through the features and patterns of cooperative innovation, analyses the advantages and shortage of cooperative innovation which is compared to independent innovation and imitation innovation, draws a conclusion that cooperation innovation is a strategic choice to upgrade the industry competitive, and based on this, chooses the preferable mode of cooperative innovation strategies to upgrade the industrial competitiveness. The author think Industry-University-Research cooperative innovation is better than the Enterprises' cooperation innovation to upgrade the industrial competitiveness. Then, starting with the "diamond model", the paper reveals how the mechanism of Industry-University-Research cooperative innovation improves industries competitive advantage, that is to say how Industry-University-Research cooperative innovation influences the factors of production, demand conditions, related supportive industries, and same-industry competition which are four key elements to improve industries competitive advantage, and synergies between them. The paper also attempts to built the model of how Industry-University-Research cooperative innovation to improve industries competitive advantage.The Industry-University-Research cooperation innovation is the best way to upgrade the industries competitive advantages theoretically. In practice, however, the effect of Industry-University-Research cooperative innovation is not what we expected, the performance is not well. The reason is there have been the interface obstacles of cooperative innovation between enterprises and research organizations. So in the last chapter, from the perspective of the interface management, the paper discusses how to run the interface management to improve cooperative innovation performance from interior and exterior of the system, so as to upgrade the industries competitive advantage. Through the above analysis, we expect it will be a reference to the choices of China's Enterprise Innovation, and play a guiding role to China's enterprise innovation activities.
