In china,great importance is attached to three dimensional rural issues,and building a new socialist countryside is now in progress. The government has been i improving the productive and living standard of peasants. In the process of building a new socialist countryside,the supply of public goods,relating to bettering living conditions of peasants,and to developing countryside from both economic and social aspects,has practical significance.As one of the key counties in national poverty-alleviation strategy, Wuchuan County,in Inner Mongolia, with industry underdeveloped,has an agriculture-based economy. Wuchuan County is located in mountainous areas and has an arid climate. There are a single species crops planted with inadequate irrigation facilities and few technology content. In additional, less average schooling years of farmers, lack of extension of science and technology, seldom hardening roads through villages, poor medical and sanitary conditions, and underdeveloped social security system, all results in lower living standard of farmers. This paper employs public goods theory,public choice theory and Western economics theory,with the influencing factors concerning the effective supply of public goods in countryside combined,to analyze the status quo and the reasons on the supply of public goods in countryside of Wuchuan County. At the end of this paper,a suggestion is offered to increase the effective supply of public goods in countryside of Wuchuan County,which includes perfecting policies system,broadening financing channel,establishing multiple supply mode,strengthening management and supervision,developing demand-expressing mechanism , and upgrading level of peasants'education and organization.
