Research On The Business Tourism Development Of Shanghai Modern Service Industry Cluster Districts

Under the background of globalization service economy times,it is urgent for China to accelerate the development of modern service industry. Modern Service Industry Cluster District (MSICD) is a brand-new practice domain and research subject which is born under such time background. Shanghai is now in the process of constructing"four centers"city which proposes to give the priority of the modern service industry and to speeded up MSICD construction to attain the goal of being one of the first-class modernized metropolis.As the national economic center, commercial affairs and commercial facilities are both highly centralized in MSICD of Shanghai city where generates active the business tourism, so the business tourism function of MSICD is becoming the most representative characteristic of Shanghai city.With applying Human Geography Theory , Tourism Geography Theory and Industrial Economics Theory, the paper takes"the relationship between the business tourism industry and MSICD"as the breakthrough point and attempts to make a research on the subject of"how to exploit and optimize the business tourism function of MSICD in Shanghai city". After a though research on their relationship with the perspective of the science of industry economy, the paper draws three main ways (business tourism is developed as the core industry of MSICD, business tourism is developed as a major function of MSICD, business tourism is developed as an underlie necessary function of MSICD)and four models ("specialized supplies attraction model","commercial activity associated model","transport hub depended on model"and"scenic area compound superimposition model")which are used for developing the business tourism in MSICD of Shanghai city. From the view of geography, the first two kind of development ways focus on emerging in the MSICD which are located in center part of shanghai city, while the last way usually appearances in the MSICD located at the urban fringe or suburb of the city.The paper also do a case study on Nanjing West Road Professional Service Commercial District in Shanghai city. The research shows that the business tourism is developed as a major function in this commercial district and figures out the main development model of the business tourism in this clustered area should be the commercial activity associated model which is combined with the other three models.
