Research On The Influence On Employment Of The Development Of Service Sector In Gansu Province

Since the middle of the 20th century, with the development of productive forces and the upgrading of the production and consumption structure, the world service sector has presented the situation of development and catching up. Comparatively, the development of Chinese service sector has relatively lagged behind, but the development potential is great and the development speed is very quick. Service sector strengthens the drawing function to the economic and employment gradually.Gansu Province is located in Northwest China. The agricultural foundation is weak, the ecological environment is fragile and industrial development is backward with a large number of surplus rural laborers needing to be transferred and a large number of laid-off workers in cities needing to be re-employed. Therefore, the task of solving the employment problem is very important. With a unique advantage to absorbing employees, the service sector is an important ways to solve the employment problem in Gansu.On the basis of the theory and substantial reference literature of the service sector employment effects, this paper makes an empirical analysis to the effects of employment in services sector in Gansu Province by using various statistical methods, in order to finding the characteristics and inherent laws of employment in services sector. It provides the considerational suggestion for the healthy development of the service sector and the display of the effects of absorbing employees of services sector in Gansu Province.The paper is divided into five chapters:The first chapter is the introduction. Firstly, it confesses the background and significance, then reviews the relevant research literature, finds the starting point of this paper. Finally, it introduces the structural arrangements to paving the way for the writing of the whole paper.Chapter II is the theoretical analysis, mainly on the definition of the related concept of services sector, and analyses the service sector to promoting employment growth in the theoretical mechanism for the rear of the theoretical foundation for quantitative analysis.Chapter III makes a summary and discussion to the measure means of the employment effects of service sector, mainly from different angles and different aspects of studying the measure methods of the employment effects of service sector. It lays the methods foundation for the quantitative research in the fourth chapter.Chapter IV is empirical analysis. Firstly, it analyses the impact on employment of the development of services sector from the total volume and structure aspects. Section III makes a measure of the hidden employment effects of services sector; Section IV makes a prediction of the employment capacity of services sector. This chapter is the core of the empirical analysis of the paper as the basis of relevant recommendations in Chapter V.Chapter V is the final chapter of the paper. Firstly, it sums up the results of the empirical analysis, and then makes specific policy recommendations according to the results of the empirical analysis.
