The Target Status And Mode Selection Of Lanzhou's Construction Of Regional Financial Center

As the center of financing and fund, regional financial center plays a crucial role in regional financial system and the economic growth. The development of the financial industry provides great support for regional economic growth, while the development of the regional economic provides an even wider demand space. The establishment of the regional financial center, which makes vast financial capital and various production elements driven by it all gather in this area, will not only greatly drive the city's economic development but the rapid growth of economic and financing of the surrounding areas.By using relevant theoretical knowledge of macroeconomics, finance, regional economics, based on the whole idea of theoretical basis– experience– practice of Lanzhou, this paper adopts the method of standardized research and empirical analysis, qualitative and quantitative, cross-sectional comparison with the organic combination of longitudinal comparison. In the process of theoretical and practical confirmation, the target status and mode selection of Lanzhou's construction of regional financial center were discussed.Firstly, the article makes a definition of the financial center related category, and illustrates the concept of the financial center and its category and function, including a comment on the current status of research at home and abroad. Then, the article analysis the forming condition of the regional financial center from the aspects of economic strength, the level of financial development, political system factors, and also makes a comparison of two different operating mode of regional financial center. These two parts is the theoretical basis of the paper.Part four outlined the background, dynamic and enlightenment of domestic financial center development. This article holds that because of the different of the economic strength, the level of development and the regional condition, different center cities have to choose their own objectives and methods depending on their own condition.The fifth and sixth part is the practical part of the paper. Based on the theory of Sagaram and the comparative advantage analysis of Lanzhou's condition and its neighboring cities, the fifth part provides an objective of Lanzhou's regional financial center from regional, functional and industrial aspects. The sixth part discusses the mode selection of Lanzhou's regional financial center, based on the analysis of the constraints of Lanzhou's construction of regional fiancial center.
