The global severe scarcity of fresh water resources gives strategic and economical prominence to water industry and makes it to be a sunrise industry which attracts a lot of attentions in the 21st Century.From 90's of the last Century, there was an essential changeover came into being in Chinese government's policies on water industry, China's water market had been gradually opened for various of capitals and the territory and capital monopolization of traditional water industry was broken, then foreign, national and private capitals swarmed into water industry which full of intense competitions never before. Currently, the prime issue enterprises need to figure out is to review that competition pattern of water industry and work out the developing strategy according to their own features.Shenzhen Water Group Co., is a large water supplier expertise in operating water systems and mainly engaged in water supply transmit and distribution, urban sewage disposal and industrial wastewater treatment, water investment and operation, the design, construction, implementation and management of industrial and municipal facilities. The company has more than RMB10.7 billion in gross utility plant assets and RMB7.8 billion in net, the water supply capability is up to 7.28 million Ton/day, the wastewater treatment is up to 1.61 million Ton/day, It supplies 15 million people in the nation with excellent water utility services. At present, it is the largest water supplier with sound capacity in China.Shenzhen Water Group Co., (Shenzhen Water Group) is a leading company which enjoys its advanced operational scale, turnover and profit, management administration. Here it is selected as the research object in this paper and hopefully it can be developed as a "Giant" in China's water industry.In this paper, the related strategic analyzing theories have been utilized, firstly it goes deep into the external environment and summarizes the opportunities and threatens of Shenzhen Water Group. Secondly, it detailed construes the group's internal environment and finds its advantage disadvantage. With adoption of SWOT strategic analyze methods, makes the strategic decisions for Shenzhen Water Group so as to set up its strategic target and work out the strategic implemental measures accordingly. Through the study of this strategic case, that makes it possible for everyone to clearly see the influences to company's strategic management caused by external and internal issues, at the same time to have a more profound understand on China's water industry.
