With the evolution of the enterprise environment occurring inside and outside day by day, and the essential changes about rules of their competition, the supply chain management has been becoming the important headspring for the advantages of the competition increasingly and has become one of the most advanced management methods in global competition environment. It is utilized even more and more popular. As the most important part of the supply chain management, the purchasing management has become the focus locked on by plenty of enterprises, which is how to realize the changes about the purchasing mode from traditional to the new one which meets the demand of the development for an enterprise under the supply chain management environment.This thesis discussed in detail the purchasing management of SF Co., Ltd.It made a detail analysis of the problems existing in the present purchasing management, and made an attempt to find a good purchasing management method which is suitable for the development of the company in the three aspects: improving vendor management, advancing purchasing efficiency and reforming inventory management, through utilizing synthetically some theories about supply chain management, vendor management and inventory management aiming at these problems, with the purpose of improving customer satisfaction and enhancing the integration competition ability of the company as well as supplying some reference to other companies in the same manufacture field.This thesis is made up of seven chapters. ChapterⅠexpatiated on the background and meaning of the study on the purchasing management of SF under the supply chain management environment through analyzing fluky marketing circumstance and the actual business development of the company, but also put forward the main contents of this thesis.ChapterⅡmade an analysis of the characteristics of traditional purchasing management, and expatiated on the conception of the supply chain and supply chain management, and the difference between supply chain management and traditional enterprise management. It also analyzed the characteristics of purchasing management under supply chain management environment and the difference between it and traditional purchasing management. ChapterⅢintroduced the actuality of the purchasing management in SF, and made a detail analysis of the main problems existing in the purchasing management, such as unwholesome purchasing management system, inefficient purchasing methods, ineffective management and control to vendors and high raw materials inventory.In ChapterⅣ, aiming at the problem in vendor management and utilizing the related vendor management theories under supply chain management, this chapter designed a new feasible idea in order to improve vendor management. First of all, it designed the guide lines and process and methods for evaluating and choosing vendors. Secondly, it built the measures for assessing performance and inspiring with vendors. Finally, expatiated on how to build and keep close cooperative partner relationship with vendors, and how to enhance vendor risk management.In ChapterⅤ, according to the existent problems of this company, starting with analysis on material purchasing strategies, it reached a conclusion that the traditional purchasing strategies have become gradually unsuitable for development of this company. But also it expatiated on new purchasing strategies which have been putting in practice by SF, and made a discussion on how to apply to JIT. Moreover, it designed a new purchasing process for the new purchasing strategies of SF on the basis of analyzing the shortcoming of present purchasing process.In ChapterⅥ, aiming at the inventory management issues of SF, and combining with the related theories of supply chain management and their main methods, it suggested some new measures to improve inventory management in order to carry out really the conversion to supply chain management for SF. It also expatiated on the actualizing methods of vendor management inventory and their feasibilities as well, with the purpose of reduction total inventory cost of SF.ChapterⅦmade a summary for this thesis and expected some issues could be studied further and solved in the future.
