The Human's Subjectivity Dimention In Marxist Consumption Theory

From the beginning of 1990s to the present, the questions of human's theory have been the hot issues in philosophy. Human's subjectivity problem is related to the important content of the human's theory question, it is also the common topic of Marxist philosophy and the modern West humanism. Human's subjectivity generally refers to the characteristic of human's understanding and transformating of object in the subject-object relationship; namely human's activity, creativity or the dominant position in the subject-object relationship.The discussion of this issue will be helpful to this relevant question for a further research without any doubts.Economics was the first field when Marx begun to study the question.However, he didn't only limit it in the economics, but put the question in a bigger domain studies, and regarded it as a social and human's question. Marxist consumption theory is closed to essence of human. In Marx's opinion, consumption is also human's essential manifestation as well as productive labor. Whether in productive field or in consumption domain, human should be exsisted as "genuine human","social people". Human should manifest the human's subjectivity that should be had as themselves. As social people, human should manifest independency, freedom and creativity as the main body in production practice and consumption activity. Marx analyzed human's subjectivity forfeit in capitalist private ownership;human's dissimilation in production process has caused the same change in the consumption domain. Human in production and consumption were not as "the genuine human", and has lost their proper freedom, independency and creativity in the same fields.Non-anthropocentrism has made the criticism to human's subjectivity, it has the reasonable side, but it neglected the human centralism is only one extreme of the dichotomization of the subject-object relationship. However, the human centralism isn't the root of the problems about exhaustion of resources, environmental deterioration that people have to faced with, the real reason are human themselves, and endless human's plunder of the nature. The thought that human regarded themselves as the natural and social center is not the root of mistake, its root lie in the human's neglection of nature's value and nature's decisive function to human. This paper will discuss the above question, to begin with consumption theory and then to discuss how Marx look on human's subjectivity , its role in consumption activity , the characteristic which human should have but lost actually in the dissimilation of labor and consumption-forfeit of human independence, as well as the Western criticism and the erroneous zone to the human centralism, and enlightenment of how contemporary China look on modern human's subjectivity in dialectical relations of production and consumption.
