An Analysis On Regional Differences In Investment And Collaborative Development In China

As a very important economic behavior, investment ensure the normal development of the entire socio-economic activities. Investment activities is a prerequisite to social production and reproduction. Since chinese reform and opening up, Chinese regional development policy turned from balanced development to non-equilibrium development.In the process of reform and opening up, the eastern region of china attracted a lot of investment because of the effects of favorable factors,such as the advantage of preferential policies and locational advantage. The eastern region gradually possessed scale effect and aggregation effect, and they becomed momentum of economic independent growth. At the same time, the central and western regions did not make synchronous development because of virious constraints.These reasons led to a growing regional economic disparity.This paper establishes an investment model according to chinese investment mode and divides investment into govermental investment, private investment and foreign direct investment. The author analyses the reasons of economic diffenences in chinese eastern, central and western regions from views of govermental investment, private investment and foreign direct investment. In order to achieve the purpose of collaborative development, the author coordinates the three kinds of investment and gives the corresponding recommendations.Based on the practical data of 11 provinces and regions, the author establishs targets for investment differences, and then compares the differences in govermental investment, private investment and foreign direct investment between eastern, central and western regions.The targets for investment differences include three kinds of investment accounting for the proportion of fixed assets investment, per capita investment, investment growth index and investment efficiency. Private investment in our country develops inceasingly faster. It plays a more and more important role in chinese economic.Especially in eastern region, private investment gradually transformed into the dominant force in total fixed asset investment. But in weastern region of our country,governmental investment is still the dominant force. During the three kinds of investment, the efficiency of foreign direct investment is far higher than the efficiency of governmental investment and private investment.The content herein is divided into five parts. Part one is a analysis of basic theories, analyses and introduces regional investment theories and collaborative development theories at home and abroad.Part two analyses chinese mode of regional investment and divides investment into govermental investment, private investment and foreign direct investment. Part three establishs targets for investment differences and make the demonstration of investment differences and collaborative development in chinese eastern, central and western regions. Part four learns from the American and Japanese investment modesl and provides the corresponding recommendations on collaborative development in regional investments.
