Shanghai Private Enterprise Research On Foreign Direct Investment

Shanghai,as China's largest economic center have sprung up many successful private enterprises which entered the international market.They went abroad through building factories overseas,carrying out transnational mergers and acquisitions,setting up R & D center.After the international financial crisis,Shanghai enterprises speeded up the pace of globalization,while the growth of private enterprises is more obvious,whose total amount of overseas investment has changed from $ 510 million in 2001 to $ 6.707 billion in 2014,has accounted for more than 60% of Shanghai enterprises' total amount of overseas investment.Shanghai overseas investment mainly concentrated on business services,real estate industry,information transmission,computer services and software industry,manufacturing industry.More and more enterprises in Shanghai began using internationally accepted means of capital operation,while overseas equity investment and transnational M & A has become the main way.In this paper,based on the domestic and foreign theory of foreign direct investment,the development process of Shanghai foreign direct investment,current status of private enterprises as well as the economic influence that foreign direct investment of private enterprises effect to Shanghai were analyzed,beneficial reference of the development of private enterprises in the Shanghai and other parts of China was provided.By collecting cases of foreign direct investment of Shanghai private enterprise,to analyze the useful experience of foreign direct investment of Shanghai private enterprise,then as to the problems appeared during the process of overseas investment,the countermeasures and suggestions were put forward,to further promote the development of foreign direct investment of private enterprise in Shanghai.The speed of the development of foreign direct investment of private enterprise in Shanghai is very fast,the proportion is more than half,investment structure has been constantly optimized,investment destination has turned to developed economies,and the level and ability of participating in the global economy reforming have improved.However there were serious shortages in the rapid growth of foreign direct investment of Shanghai private enterprises,such as lack of core competitiveness and orderly coordination between domestic enterprises,the weakness of anti-risk ability,the lack of overseas business and management experience,the big gap of brand internationalization compared with foreign enterprise,the lack of legal and institutional guarantee,etc.In order to further promote the development of foreign direct investment of private enterprise in Shanghai,on the one hand macroscopic policy support should be improved,to make scientific planning guidance,to speed up the service and support system construction and the perfection of laws and supervision system,on the other hand private enterprises should make full use of Shanghai free trade zone,free trade and related industrial chain advantage in Yangtze river delta to strengthen the reform of enterprise structure,to introduce transnational management talents,to enhance the scientific and technological innovation capacity,to optimize the way,location and choice of overseas investment.This article focused on private enterprises in Shanghai,because it is more mature in the development of private enterprises,and enough to be a representative.Combined with case studies,empirical analysis,concrete images,and the latest statistical information,characteristics and issues encountered at the present stage of OFDI of private enterprises in Shanghai were explored.
