| With over 20-year rapid growth, the telecommunication network in China has become the largest network in the world. The monopoly of telecom operation in China has been broken and a competitive situation in which a few comprehensive telecom companies competing against each other has appeared. The business mode of these telecom companies transfers from the expansion of the network scale to the value-added services. Being a manufacturer of telecommunication equipments, Ritong Company will face the more severe competition. Based on this status, this thesis investigates the outer circumstances as well as the inner conditions of Ritong Company. The competitive strategy is established for Ritong Company. Furthermore, some proposals are put forward concerning how to maintain advantages in the market competitions.In this thesis, some strategy management theoretics and tools are used to make a concrete analysis in view of the practical issues. For instance, it applies the SWOT method analysis, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) methods, the EFE and IFE to make the quantitative analysis of the opportunities, threats, advantages and disadvantages of the company.There are six chapters in this thesis. Firstly, it introduces the research backgrounds, describes in general the basic theories of the strategic management and then brings forward the author's basic ideas. Secondly, it introduces the marco-circumstance and micro-circumstance of the telecommunication industry. Thirdly, it analyses the external circumstances and the internal conditions, evaluates the external and internal factors by EFE and IFE. Finally, it gives the competitive strategy for the company and puts forward some proposals to carry out the strategy.The innovations of the exploratory research of this thesis are listed as follows:1. Aimed at the shrinking of the telecommunication facility market, this thesis proposes that the company should carry out the strategy of product development to get strategic forward cooperation with the carriers at the application service level.2. Aimed at the transformation of the carriers, this thesis proposes that the company should carry out the concentric diversification strategy to provide services such as maintenance of network for the carriers. |
