A Study On Petroleum Engineering Enterprise Inventory Cost Management Based On Supply Chain

Along with the deepening of global economic integration, market competition continues to intensify; enterprise management has develop from"vertical integration"to"horizontal integration". That is the enterprises focus only on their own core competitive business, and the non-core business will be commissioned or outsourced to their cooperate companies, then has formed supply chain management. Under the supply chain management, the inventory level is not only affecting the sole enterprise's comprehensive cost, moreover also restricts the entire supply chain's performance. The inventory control question is the hot spot which throughout the domestic and foreign scholars study. Therefore, this article makes a study on the petroleum engineering enterprises inventory cost management question. ChapterⅠmainly elaborates the source, the basis, the significance of the topic as well as the present research situation at home and abroad; at last the thesis introduces the questions to be settled and the originalities. ChapterⅡintroduces the supply chain, the supply chain management (SCM) and modeling theory for it. To start with, the thesis talks about the background of the supply chain and the supply chain's concept, the structural model and the characteristics drawn by the insufficiency of the traditional mode of administration, then introduces the concept of SCM, and the essence and the essential factors of the SCM, then introduce the inventory theory and the modeling theory of the supply chain, mainly elaborating the main branches of the supply chain modeling application, and then elaborating the supply chain modeling technology which quite popular in the recent years, then making sure of the simulation technique adopted in this thesis by comprehensive comparison of the several techniques, finally introduces the Supply chain inventory simulation theory. In ChapterⅢ, the author first introduces several big petroleum engineering enterprises in the world and the present situation of Yellow River Drilling Corporation, then using the theory introduced in chapterⅡto analyze the constitution and deficiency of the SCM for petroleum engineering enterprises. ChapterⅣfirst introduces several kinds of simulation software, then talks about Arena (a kind of simulation software used in this thesis), after that introduces several kinds of common-seen inventory strategies, then constructs an inventory model with petroleum engineering enterprise characteristics by using the simulation technique; the thesis try to optimize the input variable for the simulation and also obtain the optimized result, thus confirming the feasibility of the model. Finally, the author points out the function of the model to the inventory cost management. ChapterⅤproposes the suggestion for and solution to the questions confronted by engineering enterprises based on their status quo. ChapterⅥmainly makes a summary of the article and put forward the proposals for future research.
