A Study On Across-chain Inventory Cooperation Model In Cluster Supply Chains

The global work division in every industry becomes increasingly obvious with the globalization and integration of the world economy. When industrial areas flourish, industrial clusters become more and more mature and stable, which happens not only in the developed countries, but in the developing ones. With the rapid development of industrial clusters, the related problems arising are supply chain management, namely cluster supply chains management. The study on the cluster supply chains is inseparable with the development of industrial clusters. Consequently, the across-chain inventory cooperation, as an important part of cluster supply chains management, requires a deeper research on it.The purpose of this thesis is to establish a mechanism and strategy model of across-chain inventory cooperation of cluster supply chains, in order to make them used in across-chain inventory cooperation management of industrial clusters. First of all, the study begins with industrial clusters, and then, introduces the concept and content of cluster supply chain. In the second place, the thesis studies the competitive and cooperative relationship of the cluster supply chains, including the meaning, objects and patterns of it. Thirdly, the thesis also studies the content of supply chain inventory management, the main problems of inventory management and cluster supply chains' across-chain inventory cooperation, which is, specifically speaking, the emergency across-chain inventory replenishment between enterprises in the same level. At the same time an emergency across-chain inventory replenishment operation mechanism is designed, on the basis of the supply chains inventory mechanism.After the study above, the thesis introduces the system dynamics approach to establish the cluster supply chains across-chain emergency inventory replenishment model on the two-chain multi-stage cluster supply chains, which is based on competition and cooperation, by means of Vensim modeling software. Then, the thesis finds that emergency inventory replenishment will increase the rate of market demand satisfaction, while inventories do not soar according to the result of Vensim simulation. The data of model simulation is found on analysis of parameters sensitivity and measure indicators of the model. Thereafter, the model is modified to be a mutual replenishment one. At last, the thesis takes the Low-voltage Electrical Industry Cluster in Liushi town as an example, and analyses the viability of the across-chain inventory replenishment model in cluster supply chains.
