Research On Service Parts Inventory

The theory on spare parts can be used on two aspects: one kind is the personal spare parts which be used to make sure manufacture equipments are running, and the other type of spare parts are stored for after service. We usually call the second type of spare parts as service parts, for they are products of a company and can be used to maintain or exchange the equipment having been sold to customers.Effective storage control of service parts can be help to the customer's satisfaction and increasing the benefit of the company. In the other hand, it can decrease the unreasoning storage and speedup the capital turnover. So that, the research have important practical significance.In order to get the lowest cost, we found some models and carry out some operations. The research carries out on two direction, that in-production and out-production. After that we propose some examples to prove the validity and correctness of conclusion. There are six sections in the paper: The first chapter is the introduction. In this part, the main contents and the research background of this paper are given, and then the related theories are inducted .Some necessary acknowledge that are related to this article are narrated in chapter two. In the forth chapter, another inventory model is established on the basis of the different significance. Then a store model of service parts is setup on the newsboy theory. After that, the service parts that can be replaced by each other are studied. The last chapter is the conclusion. In this part, we summary the main contents and the emphasis of the article, then point out the limitations and the future direction of the study.
