An Analysis On Export Commodities Structure In Foreign Trade Of Yunnan Province

Yunnan province lies in the southwest of China,which adjoins Burma,Laos and Uietnam.Being located at the source of Lancang River,it is the vital carrier in China-ASEAN Free Trade Area Construction of the Mekong River subregion cooperration.With its advantageous geographical superiority,Yunnan plays a primary role in the foreign trade of the west part of China.Owing to China's entrance into WTO,and the fact that China will build up free trade zone with ASEAN within ten years,and the accelerating development of China'swestern region,the economical ,social and other development of Yunnan has embraced a historic opportunity and unprecederted challenges as well.Therefore ,in such a brandnew situation,Yunnan's foreign trade development has encounterde huge tasks as follows: by what means it could grasp the opportunity,handle the challenges,adjust and optimize the structure of export commodities,expand foreign bussiness scale and market scope.Hence,the accomplishment of those tasks has an essential significance to the foreign trade and even the economical development of Yunnan.Thanks to the years of efforts,its foreign trade has made considerable progress.However,many problems arise on become a major obstacle to constrain the sustainde,rapid and healthy development of the whole province's foreign trade .Consequently,how to employ effective means to adjust and optimize the structure of export commodities serves as an important task in the foreign trade development of Yunnan.This paper is divided into four parts:The first part displays the important theoretical achievements at home and abroad about the studies on the export commodities structure in foreign trade,which mainly use traditional and new business theories.In addition,this part introduces many Chinese scholars'relevant studies over this aspect.Based on those research,the author points out the organization of this article and primary research methods.The second part firstly makes analysis on the changes of Yunnan's export commodities structure and its reflecting features.Bared on the analysis,the author discovers the factors which can enhance sweeftly the export commodities structure,the absorbing of foreign investment and the change of trade mode.Additionaly,the authors finds out the current situation and aevelopment trend of Yunnan's export commodities structure.Part three deals with the analysis of some issues.Based on the analysis of part two,this section proposes the existing problems and the reasons in the commodities structure in Yunnan's foreign trade.Those reasons are:⑴low technology in export productions—few productions with high-tech value;⑵poor basical industries—the export commodities manufactery concentrating on small numbers of industries;⑶too focusing sales market of export commodities.The last part puts corresponding measures to solve the previous problems as follows:⑴upgrading the industrial structures to adjust and optimize Yunnan's export commodities structure;⑵giving priority to the resource conditions and relative superioty of Yunnan;⑶combining the strategical adjustment weth the adaptable one;⑷noticing both the static and dynamic business benefits.Meanwhile,it proposes the measures to optimize the subject structure in foreign trade,the structure of foreign trade mode and market.
