The mode of foreign trade of china has been transformed from closing to openness, and got cheerful progresses in scale as well as structure. The development of foreign trade, especially export field is the one of Chinese most successful reformations, has been the quite mainstay of stimulating Chinese economy. Nowadays that problems of export has been studied can be very chief and follow as a matter of course on the condition of such scope of Chinese export.This article processes an empirical analysis on commodity composition specialty making use of much trade data, imprimis classifies trade commodity composition very detailedly. By calculating the relative revealed comparative advantage index, Lawrence and beneficiary index etc., the paper explains the current situation , development and present problems. The paper sums up a few factors of export commodity composition, no matter characteristic or quantitative, then discriminates varied effects of different factors. Based on this, the author studies principally the mutual influence between quantitative factors and diverse commodity compositions in China.To aim directly at causality between export commodity using composition and economic development in China, differences of element input caused by appreciation of RMB, relationship between productive efficiency of trade department or not and exchange rate, and effect of every factor to micro commodity these problems, the paper applied econometric models such as vector auto regression, vector error correction model, varying parameter model and panel data model to expose contact between varied export commodity composition and different economic variables.The results suggest that:1 .Using structure of export commodity hasn't conspicuous propellant effect on economic development in China.2.The appreciation of real exchange rate affects structure of element input very differently according to proportion of import input in labor-intensive product and capital-intensive product.3.Under the condition of unlimited labor supply in dual urban-rural economic structure, when purchasing power parity in trade department and is established but lagging, Balassa-Samuelson effect does not happen. Owing to purchasing power parity can retrieve in the long run, the real exchange will appreciate resulting from gradual appreciation of nominal exchange.4.After studying the effect of probable factors' to fifteen representative commodities, the consequences support our theoretical analyses on the whole, but difference of industrial scale itself has nothing to do with the increase of export commodity.In the end of this paper, the author suggests several feasible advices on ordaining foreign trade strategy and regulation of export commodity composition, and points out some faults in approach and content in this article.
