At the end of the 1990's, Chinese Internet business entered a rapid development period, An increasing number of people are joining the"Information Age"via the Internet. New portal websites are springing up all over the country. Such as SINA Internet corporation. At the end of 1998, Beijing SiTong company and Huayuan Information company merge into a biggest Chinese website—SINA. An entirely new era, the era of Information economy, is beckoning us on. In 2000, SINA.com, one of the high-fliers on the Nasdaq, is a well-known Internet stock in China. After 12 years of strenuous efforts, China information industry has initially formed a three portal websites structure, and developed this pattern as the main competition form. This pattern continues down to the 2006.With the falling out of SOHU in 2006, the pattern had broken up. The sudden change in Internet Industry darkened the future for investors. How to find the own profit pattern become the key strategy question of Internet corporation.A major thrust of the paper is to discuss the profit model of the three portal websites. From the viewpoint of the business competition and discuss it in the six parts.
